Cong Chi Tang (Scallion and Prepared Soybean Decoction)

A
  1. Cong Bai (9-12g)
    (warm, acrid. Unblocks flow of yang qi in exterior and induces sweating)
  2. Dan Dou Chi (12-30g)
    (Releases both externally contracted pathogenic factors from the exterior and constrained yang qi in the interior)
  3. Unblocks the yang protective qi in the exteriror
  4. Induces sweating

Mild fever and sl chills w/o sweating, h/a, stuffy nose, thin white tc, floating pulse

Notes: herbs gently release beginning wind invasion

1. Releases the Exterior and induces sweating (externally contracted wind cold especially in very early stages)
2. Disperses cold and unblocks the yang (either abdominal pain and distention or nasal congestion dt blockage of yang qi by cold)
3. Resolves toxicity and disperses clumps (sores and abscesses. Herb applied externally as a poultice)

Sojae Semen Preparatum
sweet, sl bitter, cold or warm
LU, ST

1. Releases the exterior (both hot and cold exterior d/o. Also exterior with yin deficiency)
2. Eliminates irritability (irritability, restlessness, stifling sensation in the chest, and insomnia following a febrile d/o)
