Supply pumper will supply at what pressure?

IDLE pressure: this is intake pressure from hydrant PLUS pressure the pumps idle at in the VOLUME POSITION ( about 55 PSI—-(pressure is 110 pSI)

-in most (not all)circumstances, Volume position, the number will be 100-125 PSI

When Operating Pumper is receiving water…?

leave gate inlet CLOSED, while OPENING DRAIN, thus expelling air , when good flow of water is observed, closed drain….AND OPEN GATED INLET SLOWLY, but FULLY OPENED (similar to inline pumping, when water is coming in from hydrant)

• the pump pressure gauge should be 50-60 psi greater than the INTAKE GAUGE reading cute to the added pressure from his pumper at idle in volume position
• the operator pumper must set the PPG to match pressure gauge

-the idle pressure on pump pressure gauge will be equal to the intake pressure from the relay PLUS the apparatus idles at volume (55 PSI), IN MOST CIRCUMSTANCES WITH BOTH APPARATUS IN VOLUME , THIS READING WILL BE 150-`175

Relay should accommodate 2- 2 1/2” hand lines..without intake pressure dropping below 15 psi on operating pumper…if intake pressure drops below 15 psi…EcC of operating pumper should request the Supply pumper increase throttle in ?
