What is a needed for a Kiosk System?
Touchscreen Monitor, CPU, Printer, Card Reader and Barcode/QR Code Reader.
What is the purpose of a Touchscreen Monitor in a Kiosk System?
To allow customers to make selections and acts as an input and an output; the customer is able to select using the Touchscreen as well as have information displayed, acting as an output.
What is the purpose of a CPU in a Kiosk System?
Used to control the Kiosk.
What is the purpose of a Printer in a Kiosk System?
Used to print Tickets and Receipts.
What is the Purpose of a Barcode/QR Code Reader in a Kiosk System?
Used to scan codes for special promotions (QR Codes) or the (Barcodes) on a ticket that has already been purchased.
What is the purpose of a Card Reader in a Kiosk System?
Used to accept payment from Credit/Debit cards, including ‘CHIP’ and ‘PIN’.
What 3 types of Tickets may be needed to scan?
Theatre Printed Ticket, Customer ‘Print-at-home’ Ticket and Smartphone ‘QR Code’ ticket. (All these ticket types contain barcodes or QR codes)
