1

Q

N2(g) + 3H2(g) <=> 2NH3(g) + HEAT

What happens if temperature increases

A

Reverse reaction dominates

Reaction goes to the left because it goes to the cooler side (endothermic)

Q

N2(g) + 3H2(g) <=> 2NH3(g) + HEAT

What happens if there is a decrease in temperature

A

Forward reaction dominates

Reaction goes to the right hand side because it goes to the heat generating side (exothermic)

Q

N2(g) + 3H2(g) <=> 2NH3(g) + HEAT

What happens if there is an increase in pressure

A

Forward reaction dominates

The reaction goes to the right because there is the least number of of molecules

Q

H2(g) + I2(g) <=> 2HI(g)

What happens if more I2 is added

A

The reaction goes to the right hand side so more HI is produced
