Differentiation: (1/2/3 degree)

A

1st degree: mild= mucous layer (3-5cm), not easily bled, easy to go back
2nd degree: moderate= muscle layer (5-10cm), could have some bleeding, will need to put back
3rd degree: severe= whole rectum/zygmoid (10cm+), needs help putting them back, happens easily and frequently

Slow onset, start with distending and draggling sensation of rectum during defecation, and returning to normal after the bowel movement. It is sustained without proper Tx, recurrence may happen by overstrain and the prolapsed rectum fails to return spontaneously without the aid of hand, sallow complexion, fatigue, SOB, palpitations, dizziness
