How is the nervous system related to neurons?
A
The nervous system is made up of trillions of nerve cells (neurons).

What are the functions of the neurons?
A
They carry electrical messages. These electrical messages are called “nerve impulses”, that travel in one direction

A
Carry messages from the cells in the sensory organs to the brain and spinal cord.

Link up the motor and sensory neutrons together

A
Carry messages from the central nervous system to effectors. Effects are muscles and glands that put messages to effect.
