Wind heat (Defensive Qi level)
Fever, aversion to cold, sweating, headache, feeling of heaviness and discomfort in the epigastrium, fatigue, irritability, thirst, red tongue in the front and sides, white sticky tongue coating, soggy-rapid pulse.
Summer heat (Defensive Qi level)
Fever that is worse in the afternoon, body that is hot to the touch, aversion to cold, swollen glands, headache, feeling of heaviness, feeling of oppression in the epigastrium, sticky taste, thirst with no desire to drink, sticky white tongue coating, soggy pulse.
Damp heat (Defensive Qi level)
Fever, slight aversion to cold, slight sweating, dry skin, nose, mouth and throat, dry cough, sore throat, dry tongue with thin white coating, floating-rapid pulse, etc.
Dry heat (Defensive Qi level)
High fever, feeling of heat, no aversion to cold, thirst, cough with thin yellow sputum, shortness of breath, sweating, red tongue with yellow coating, slippery-rapid pulse.
Lung heat (Qi level)
High fever that is worse in the afternoon, no aversion to cold, feeling of heat, intense thirst, profuse sweating, red tongue with yellow coating, overflowing-rapid pulse (4 Bigs)
Stomach heat (Qi level)
High fever that is higher in the afternoon, constipation, dry stools, burning in the anus, abdominal fullness and pain, irritability, delirium, red tongue with thick yellow dry coating, Deep-full-rapid pulse.
Intestines Dry-heat (Qi level)
Alternating hot and cold feeling with a prevalence of heat, bitter taste, thirst, dry throat, hypochondrial pain, nausea, a feeling of fullness in the epigastrium, red tongue with unilateral sticky yellow coating, Wiry-Rapid pulse.
Gallbladder heat (Qi level)
Continuous fever that decreases after sweating but soon increases again, feeling of heaviness of the body and head, feeling of oppression of the chest and epigastrium, nausea, loose stools, thirst without desire to drink, red tongue with sticky yellow tongue coating, Soggy-rapid pulse.
