What does dukkha mean in the 4 noble truths
-humans are constantly suffering
-3 types of suffering:
—Dukkha-dukkha
—viparinama-dukkha
—sankhara-Dukkha
What is viparinama-dukkha
-everything is impermanent
-nothing can last forever which causes suffering
What is Dukkha-dukkha
-mental and physical pain
What is sankhara-dukka
-a general dissatisfaction with life
-because humans are attached to things they cannot hold onto
What does samudaya mean in the 4 noble truths
-the cause of suffering is craving (tanha)
-types of craving:
—sensual craving
—craving for being
—craving for non-being
-causes of craving (3 poisons)
—ignorance: pig
—hatred: snake
—greed: cockerel
What are the 3 types of craving
-sensual craving
—>wanting to please the senses
-craving for being
—>seeking a certain identity
-craving for non-being
—>wanting to avoid things
What does nirodha mean in the 4 noble truths
-there is a way to reach nibbana
-u musty escape suffering and the 3 poisons
