countries, U.S. is the only country that doesn’t consider states as countries.
What are “independent states”
A place with a government system that is separate from other government systems.
What is “Nation”
A group of people that have a common political identity.
What is a “nation-state”
A nation plus a state in the same place.
What is a “Multinational-state”
Multiple major political identities that agree to exist in the same state.
What are “Multi-state nations”
A political identity across multiple states.
What is a “Stateless Nation”
A political identity that has no state. Example is the Palestinians in Israel.
What is a “Autonomous/semi autonomous region”
An Autonomous/Semi Autonomous region is an area within a country that has self-control.
