Conduct a Phone Screen Part Three: Bring a candidate in for an interview post-phone screen

I feel like we can be a good resource for your job search! I’d love to meet with you, so the next step of our process is to have you come in for a 30 minute interview here in our office. We will go deeper into your background and portfolio and most importantly really understand the types of environments and opportunities you are most interested in so we can make the best matches on your behalf!

Next you will see an interview confirmation email from us with a lot of helpful info as well as a link and password to complete your online Candidate Profile. Please complete this prior to our interview so we can gather those basic but important details ahead of time so we can take that deeper dive into your background during our meeting.

Once you submit your profile to us, you will receive access to our e-verify portal where you can complete your I9 form online. As a staffing company, we need to vet your legal status up front, so I just need your 4 digits of your social and the month and day of your birthday.

Also, please bring in two forms of ID to our interview. Other than that, I am blocking out this time for us and I look forward to meeting you! If anything changes and you can’t make it please let me know!

What if the candidate doesn’t sound in-line with our opportunities or we have uncovered red flags?

I am so glad we were able to connect today. Based on our convo, Creative Circle will not be the best resource for you at this time as our clients will always want to see produced agency or marketing dept deliverables in a portfolio for design roles. When our clients come to Creative Circle, they pay a premium to see candidates that have proven experience and success in the role they need. However, it doesn’t mean you can’t find great projects on your own!

I recommend continuing to look on your own, freelance is especially a great way to get your foot in the door and build a produced portfolio as a Jr. Designer. Then I would love to reconnect again in the future once you have at least 2-3 produced projects in your portfolio, we can decide then if it makes sense to have you come in for an interview but at this time I wouldn’t want to waste you time and not have any opportunities for you.
