First person point of view
Told by a character who uses the first person pronoun I
Third person point of view
Uses third person pronouns such as he and she to refer to the characters; with no I to tell the story
Omniscient third person
With the narrator knowing and telling what each character feels and thinks; being godlike of all knowing
Limited third person
The narrator retelling the inner thoughts and feelings of only one character; viewing from this character’s perspective
Prose
The ordinary form of written language; one of the major genres of literature; occurs in fiction and nonfiction
