Q

What was the governments reaction to immigrants in the depression years? Why was this unfair?

A

The government deported immigrants back to their home country if they didn’t find work. This was unfair because they were invited, gave up jobs in their old land, torn themselves loose to come expecting to find work, and simply being sent back.
