Q

What do convection currents do?

A

Convection currents cause our tectonic plates to move, this is how we get our different types of plate boundaries; Convection; Constructive; Destructive; Destructive collision.

Q

How are convection currents made?

A

They are made because of the inner core being a solid and as you progress through the Earth’s structure it gets more liquidated and the head of the inner core causes movement of the magma within the mantle which causes convection currents, moving the movements of tectonic plates.
