Red Shift

The frequency of the waves decrease and the light appears red.
Blue Shift
The light waves from a luminous object compress (wave length decreases) as it moves towards us.
The frequency of the waves increase and the light appears blue.
Rover
A space probe that has wheels. It can land on a planet and collect samples from the surface.
Lander
A space probe that has legs. It can land on a planet and collect samples from the surface.
Orbiter
A space probe that goes into orbit around a planet. It can take pictures from above the planet.
Galaxy
A collection of stars

The distance that is travelled by a light wave in 1 year.
Big Bang Theory
The universe began as a tiny point of energy 13.5 billion years ago. It then expanded rapidly and matter was created.
CMBR
Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation. The energy left over from the Big Bang.
