•Native American tribes fought on both sides – depended on their loyalty

“Corrupt Bargain” of 1824
Between clay and Adams when running for president
Clay supported Adams since he was eliminated as a candidate
They shared similar political views-it was understandable
Deals of this nature have been long made before Adams and Clay so it was not necessarily corrupt
Jacksonian Democracy
political movement during the Second Party System toward greater democracy for the common man symbolized by American politician Andrew Jackson and his supporters

helped fuel western settlement, Native American removal and war with Mexico

Irish and Germans forced their way into America due to economic issues and crop failure such as the potato famine

Was a stepping stone and in a sense first constitution but powers were unbalanced, no executive and judicial was left up to states
Tax quota was set but rarely ever met 1/4 of it
