Estates were built-> tall buildings acquired accommodation for a lot of people

Vandalism of the lift and muggins in the corridors-> unsafe and people were trapped inside

Local planners had the authority to bypass local planning laws
This could affect high street shopping and town centres

Organisations helped to sell and buy land
