Sexual assault of many women employed as domestic servants

High accident and suicide rates for workers
What steps have been taken by the UAE government?
Police and labour ministry have set up a hotline for foreign workers who have complaints
Civil servants visit labour camps to hear what the workers say and may sometimes order companies to pay compensation to workers
What are the causes of the migration?
In 2007 it was the fastest growing city in the world
Plenty of construction work, worth $100 billion
Most workers come from south and south east Asia when the pay is much worse
Remittances sent home to families
