  • airway, breathing, MM
  • circulation, pulse, CRT
  • oxygen (flowmeter)
  • breathing circuit is connected
  • ventilation (check bag)
  • ET tube and cuff
  • drugs given -wrong dose or drug
  • embolism, intrapleural air
  • anaphylaxis

A
  • First deliver a single, strong thump to the left thorax, then carry out the below:
  • resus (ABCDE):
  • airway establish
  • breathing: artificial vent w/ 100% )2, 20-50bpm
  • circulation: external cardiac compresions 100per min
  • drugs
  • catheter
  • adrenaline

When not to resuscitate (in cpr emergency)?

A

resuscitation is not attempted for

  • animals that have been without spontaneous circulation for more than 15-20 minutes
  • terminally ill or terminally injured patients
  • patients whose owners have signed a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate).
