Leader: should stive for gammon-free positions; go for races and holding games.
Trailer: Look for positions that may lead to gammons: blitzes, priming battles, and back games (for either side!)
4-3 Post Crawford

Leader: Take only if the favorite; > 50%; the leader in
essence has a free drop.
Trailer: Auto double
4-2 Crawford
1 Away - 3 Away
Crawford so no cube action
Trailer: Don’t play for gammons since the next game decides the match anyway.

Leader: Almost always take; wins > 22% even if
gammonish (but not too gammonish).
Trailer: Auto double

1 Away - 4 Away
Leader: Trailer has even pts to go; leader has a free drop available. If wins < 50% drop. Be very careful of gammons.
Trailer: Auto double; play for gammons.

Leader: Take wins >30%
Trailer: Aggressive double if gammonish; fairly
easy takes (wins >25%) because of auto-redoubles for the
match.

Leader: Take if wins > 20% if no gammon potential. DROP against gammonish positions! Slow to double: wins > 83%; avoid cubing against any real gammon threats.
Trailer: Double > 70%; sooner if market loser sequences appear likely because a gammon on a double wins the match.
