What are the manifestations of gonorrhea?

Answer 3

in women:

• mucopurulent vaginal discharge, bleeding
• dysuria, genital irritation, late pelvic pain

in men:
- urethral discharge, dysuria

also - systemic symptoms:

• bacteremia/septicemia
• pharyngeal infection or conjunctivitis (if you touch your eyes with infected hands)
• arthritis-dermatitis syndrome (can lead to septic arthritis if bacteria get into the joints)

How is gonorrhea treated?

Answer 4

1st - use cephalosporins
2nd - the bacteria is becoming resistant, if this happens increase the dose and add another class of antibiotics
