Decreases appetite. Opioid antagonist. Dopamine and NE
Naltrexone/buproprion
Decreases appetite. Shot. Glucagon like peptide (GLP-1) receptor agonist
Liraglutide
Malabsorption of fat > diarrhea and incontinence.
Severe liver impairment and death. Safer for CV, HTN, diabetes than amphetamine like drugs
Orlistat
Schedule 4 (potential for abuse). Can cause serotonin syndrome, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, and valvular heart disease. Cognitive impairment and euphoria. Safer for HTN and CV.
Locaserin
Schedule 4 (potential for abuse). Increases HR, insomnia, suicidal ideation, paresthesias, dizziness, constipation, dry mouth, dysgeusia (food tastes bad), psychos, and cognitive impairment

Avoid phentermine/topiramate in
HTN or CVD
Avoid naltrexone/bupropion if patient is taking
Narcotics

Suicidal thoughts
