Describe the location of Mumbai?
Mumbai is located on the west coast of India next to the Arabian Sea. India is part of the continent of Asia. The city of Mumbai is supported by the hinterland of the mahorashta state. The capital city of India is New Delhi.
Why do people choose package holidays?
People often choose to pay for a package holiday because accommodation, food and drink, transport and insurance is usually included. This means they usually save money because their not having to pay for things whilst there.
Why do people choose to go on holiday?
Weather plays a huge part, often people will like a change in environment e.g people who live in places such as the U.K. like to go abroad for sun. Other reasons include: activities, price, culture, location, food, retail and safety.
What is an environmentalist ?
They think about the environment and how people can affect is less e.g less pollution.
What is ecotourism?
Responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well being of local people.
What are the original 7 islands of Mumbai?
Mahim, Parel, mazagaon, worli, malabar hills, old women’s island and Bombay.
What is a relief?
Shape of the island.

What does the burgess model usually represent? And how does it work?
The burgess model usually represents MEDCs for example Leamington (uk). It goes in the order central business district, inner city, inner suburbs, outer suburbs and then the countryside.
What does the Hoyt’s model represent? And how does it work?
The Hoyt’s model usually represents LEDCs for example, Mumbai (India) in the middle there is the CBDs, then leading outwards there are industrial businesses, which run through the residential areas and cheaper housing. In-between the 2 industrial areas, there’s usually shanty towns.
