Q

method of measuring density of a regular object

A

measure mass on balance, measure length width and height with a ruler, repeat in different places to check it’s regular…density = mass/volume

Q

method for measuring density of irregular object

A

measure mass on balance, fill displacement to spout, slowly lower object (avoid splashing), volume of water displaced = volume of object displaced, transfer water to measuring cylinder, measure on a flat surface to the bottom of the meniscus at eye level (avoids parallax error)
