How are laws made?

1) the bill is proposed to the Dáil
2) after discussion the TDs suggest changes to the law
3) the bill is then sent to a special committee who view it very closely.
4) the bill is amended and rewritten,(report stage) final draft
5) bill goes back to Dáil. If passed it goes to Seanad
6) must be signed by president
7) after the presidents signature it becomes an act
