when people suffer from more than one disorder

a nervousness or agitation that we sometimes experience
what does it mean if somebody has an anxiety disorder?
they get anxious from everyday objects or situations
what is the difference between a normal anxiety disorder and a generalized anxiety disorder?
a generalized anxiety disorder is when somebody has been excessively worrying for over 6 months
What is a panic disorder?
a disorder where people have sudden and recurrent panic attacks
What is a phobia?
a specific, irrational fear of a certain object, situation, or activity
what is PTSD?
high levels of anxiety paired with flashbacks
Who is most often affected by PTSD?
People who have survived a traumatic experience:
victims of abuse, people who fought in wars, 9/11 survivors, natural disaster survivors
What are mood disorders?
disorders in which the person’s mood negatively influences their physical perceptual, social, and cognitive processes
what is bipolar 1 disorder?
a disorder characterized by mood swings, from extremely happy, to depressed and back again
