  2. Japan invaded and set up a government.
  3. China appealed to the league.
  4. The league took a year to publish their report.

  6. Japan resigned in march.

  1. The league couldn’t actually stop big events from happening.
  2. Pointed out that strong nations could do as they pleased.
  3. Only the USA and the USSR could have stopped it and they weren’t members.

What happened in Abyssinia? Part 1

A
  1. Benito wanted to expand his empire.
  2. December 1934 there was a military dispute
  3. The Italian army prepared for war and the Abyssinians appealed for help.
  4. For most of 1935 Mussolini was negotiating with the league while shopping his army to Africa.
  5. Neither side was found guilty of starting the war and the League tried to give Mussolini part of abyssina. He refused.
