Energizes continuous ignition if:

• ENG anti ice pb on
• Flameout is Detected
• EIU fails

Mode Selector - IGN/Start

Answer 3

Displays ECAM ENG page
Closes Pack Value (reopens is not started within 30 sec)
-Arms ignition to energize during automatic or manual start
-Energizes continuous ignition on both igniters
-if ENG 1 2 switch on
-And N2 above idle

Question 4

ENG 1 2 switch - ON (Automatic start)

Answer 4

Begins automatic start sequence

• Open LP fuel value
• Opens start valve & increases APU air (if used)
• Energizes ignition
  
  • when N2 > 16% on ground, immediate in flight
• HP fuel value opens
  
  • when N2> 22% on ground, N2>15% in flight
• @ N2>50%
  
  • Start value closed
  • Ignition is de-energized
  • APU speed is returned to normal (If used)
  • Pack value reopened after 30 seconds (unless other engine started

ENG 1 2 switch - ON (Manual start)

Answer 5

If ENG MAN START pb on

• Energizes both igniters
• Opens LP and HP fuel value
• @N2>50%
  
  • Start value is close
  • Ignition is de-energized (if on ground)
  • APU speed is returned to normal (if used)

FIRE light 1 2 - Red

Answer 6

Illuminates when fire is detected in respective engine

Fault light 1 2 - Amber
