Define covenant
It is a contract or agreement between two or more parties
Covenant is a promise of god to man
It is a love not agreement binding on parties where one part is infinitely superior to another
Examples of covenant
Gods covenant with man assumes a nature of promise
God made promissory covenant with Noah,Abraham,David

Understanding and puspose
It helps us to k ow our responsibilities to god and his responsibilities to us
To help us appreciate the lord Jesus Christ who gave us himself as everlasting covenant
To discover the deep relationship which exist between god and man
Helps us to live to glorify to god
Helps us to know how god decided to deal with mankind and communicate his salvation plan through Jesus
