Prescribing Advice

A

Active metabolites give hangover
Flumazenil for OD
Gradual withdrawal required with long half-life forms
No more than 4 weeks
Oxazepam absorbed more slowly
Coming off drug quickly = hangover effect + nightmares (Increases REM sleep)
