  1. Dependence
  2. Additive CNS depression effects with EtOH
  3. Less risk of respiratory depression/coma than barbiturates
  4. Treat OD: Flumazenil (competitive antagonist at GABA receptor)
    • Can precipitate seizures by causing acute BDZ withdrawal
