Q

what is required for car parks for an event in order to be safe?

A

Parking areas need to be lit in the dark
Larger areas should be divided into smaller units with identifying signage, so that people can locate their vehicle later
Barriers, signage and queuing systems can all be used effectively to keep people safe, along with an adequate number of marshals - at drop off and pick up points as at the end of the event these areas become very busy so need to be monitored.
ensure surfaces and entrances are practical for those entering the car park facilities
