Poor prognosis, remove teeth, pack to heal

How do you position a patient to maintain airway?
Neck straight and extended
What conditions can anorexia from soft tissue trauma lead to?

Syringe feed, SC fluids, analgesic, prokinetics, probiotics, NOT antibiotics
What are some prokinetics?
Ranitidine, metaclopramide, cisapride
How do you manage incisor malocclusion?
Regular trimming (every 4 weeks)
What must you take care to avoid in lower incisors?
Pulp
What do you use to trim teeth?
Diamond dental bur (but no water)
What else should you do in incisor malocclusion?
Neuter!
What is the problem with extraction to treat incisor malocclusion?
Can re-grow, no post-op function, gagging for cheek teeth is difficult
To what level should you reduce cheek teeth to?
To gum level (over-short) - not just removing spurs!
What is very dangerous to use on cheek teeth?
Hand files and hand burrs
