What is the Likert scale?

A

Respondents can indicate the extent they agree/disagree. Usually five levels from strongly agree to neutral to strongly disagree.

A

A means of assessing experiences/attitudes by asking respondents to rate statements. 1-3/1-5 etc

A

A

Using exactly the same formalised procedures and instructions for all participants in a study.

What are demand characteristics?

A

A cue from the experimenter or the experimental situation that may be interpreted by participants as revealing the purpose of the study. This may lead them to change their behaviour and act accordingly.
