Q

These violent delights have violent ends, and in their triumph die like fire and powder

A

Love in this play is an extremely dangerous thing as their relationship goes against what their parents want and what fate intended. This means that in this play, the consequences are not positive, but emotionally explosive, like the fire and powder.

Q

This bud of love, by summer’s ripening breath/
May prove a beauteous flower when next we meet
It is too rash, too unadvis’d, too sudden
All this is but a dream/
Too flattering-sweet to be substantial

A

Love can cause concerns to be raised, and these concerns should be listened to.
As the love is very passionate, it causes them to go at a very fast pace which means they both express misgivings.
For love to blossom, the relationship must go at a natural pace to turn it into a beautiful thing, or it will not turn out this way, which is shown by the double suicide.

Q

Arise fair sun
Who is
That thou her maid art

A

And kill the envious moon
Sick and pale with grief
More fair than she
She’s a maid because she’s chaste
Juliet is warm and sunny, opposite to pale and is not sick
Romeo is possibly using the moon to represent Rosaline?
Moon comes and goes so doesn’t want to represent Juliet as the moon. Sun instead because it’s what makes the moon be seen.
