Why increasing temperature increase a reactions rate and decrease activation energy?

A

Increasing temp increases the molecules’ speed, which increases the total number of collisions. Increasing temp increases molecules average kinetic energy (because they are moving around more/faster), which increases their ability to overcome activation energy (thus lowering the amount of energy still needed to activate the reaction)
