Activities on network diagrams that have duration but do not require any resources; also known as pseudo activities
Dummy activities
Dates that a resource is unavailable
Exception dates
A graphic display that project managers can use to show individual resources taht will work on an activity and the work effort that each resource will invest in the activity
Human Resources Matrix
On a Skills Roster, the “interest” descriptor indicates that the person would like to work on assignments involving this skill or knowledge
Interest
An activity in a WBS that’s not divided into further detail
Lowest-level activity
A graphic display that shows a detailed allocation of work effort by time period
Person Loading Chart
On a Skills Roster, the “primary capability” descriptor indicates that the person can assume a lead role in an assignment requiring this skill or knowledge
Primary Capability
The process by which PM assign specific, limited resources to specific activities when there are competing demands for limited resources
Resource allocation
The amounts of specific resources that are scheduled for use on specific activities or projects at specific times
Resource loading
A list that shows the amounts of various specific resources that are scheduled for use on specific activities at specific times during life of proj
Resource loading chart
Tables that list the avail of all resources -personnel/non. Res schedules can list pay rates, typical work hours & exception dates
Resource schedules
A measure of the amount by which a project, or a set of proj is delayed by leveling a resource
Schedule slippage
On a skills roster, the “secondary capability” descriptor indicates the person has some training or experience in the skill or knowledge but should work under another person’s guidance
Secondary capability
A graphic format project managers can use to display the skills and knowledge of ppl who might work on a proj; AKA skills inventory
Skills Roster
The actual time a person spends working on an activity, expressed in person-hours, person-days, or person-weeks; AKA person effort
