• Contraindicated in pts who have hyperkalemia
• Use caution in older adults and pts who have asthma,other respiratory disorders, hx of angioedema,diabetes,renal stenosis,hypotension, or kidney/hepatic disease

1-decreases serum levels of furosemide=may have to increase furosemide dosage
2-increases effects of antihypertensive meds=monitor for hypotension
3-atorvastatin/ketaconazole increase levels of aliskiren=monitor for hypotension
4-high fat foods reduce absorption
5-ACE inhibitors/potassium supps/PS diuretics=increased hyperkalemia
