Q

Sodium Bicarbonate:drug action

A

reacts with hydrogen ions to form water and CO2 to buffer metabolic acidosis. as plasma hydrogen ion concentration decreases, blood pH rises.drives serum potasium back into the cellenhances urinary excretion of tricyclicsneutralizes acidosis by reacting with hydrogen ions to form water and carbon dioxide
