Steps for processing CD

A
  1. Find and clean matching cover, cope, and drag
  2. Ensure cast and denture fit
  3. Pour lower half of flask with stone and set cast in
  4. Separation medium, place cope, then second stone just above occlusal surfaces
  5. Third stone to fill cope, cover, and allow to set
  6. Boil out, separate flasks, then clean and dry
  7. Pack to 2000 pounds with full metal to metal contact
  8. Bench cure 1 hour before heat processing cycle,

Steps for deflasking

A
  1. Remove metal flask
  2. Remove excess plaster and stone
  3. Return stone casts to index plaster for articulating
  4. Lab remount to correct processing error (1 to 2 mm at guide pin)
