Constitution
A document stating the rules under which a government will operate

An influential delegate of the constitutional convention from Virginia. Took notes on the meetings, which were published after his death and became a source of historical information

A system of courts to interpret the law

Wrote the great compromise. From Connecticut, argued people “should have as little to do” with the selection process because the can be misled
James Wilson
From Pennsylvania, warned against shutting the people out of the law making process. According to him, election if he legislature by the people was “not only the cornerstone, but the foundation of the fabric.

A writer who was largely responsible for writing the introduction t the constitution

Alexander Hamilton
Wrote FIFTY ONE of the 85 federalist papers. An orphan from the Caribbean who came to New York in 1776 to graduate in two and join the revolution. Fought in the revolutionary war and became George Washington’s right hand man. He practiced law after the war, but wasn’t a good lawyer. Started the first U.S. bank. Married Elizabeth Schuyler, but cheated on her with Maria Reynolds. Died in a duel with Aaron Burr because he raised his weapon to the sky
John jay
Wrote five of the federalist papers, but his weak ass got sick and didn’t continue writing
George mason
A leading antifederalist who thought the AOCs weren’t strong enough
