Q

What are the 4 main types of maintenance strategy?

Cannon process rubbish content

A

Corrective, Preventative, Risk-based, Condition-based
1 - Corrective - finding the detection of an anomaly and aimed at restoring normal operating conditions. Approach is based on that the costs sustained for downtime and repair in case of fault are lower than the investment for a maintenance program.
2 - Preventative - carried out at predetermined intervals or according to criteria. Aimed at reducing the failure risk or performance degradation of equipment.
3 - Risk Based - carried out by integrating analysis, measurement and periodic test activities to standard preventive maintenance.
Info is viewed in the context of environmental, operation and process condition of the equipment in the system. Equipment with abnormal values are then refurbished or replaced.
4 - Condition Based - maintenance based on equipment performance monitoring and the control of the corrective actions taken as a result.
CPRC - Cannot Process Rubbish Content
