What wood should a nursery toy be made out of?
Hardwoods, beech, oak, maple
Why would you use hardwoods for childrens toys
Because they dont splinter or break easily - harmful
How could you assemble a wooden toy?
With dowels - strips of wood in holes that glue the parts together
What paint would you use for the toys?
Polyurethane - its tough and safe when fully cured
What sort of plastic would you use?
Polythene - strong and stiff
