What is chromatography used for?
A
Forensics (separating inks/food dyes).

How to set it up…
A
Get filter paper/blotting paper
Use a pencil to draw a reference point (line).
Blot the inks along the line.
Dip the end into water.
The dyes will separate and you can see what in there.
Done in pencil because its insoluble in water.

A
Distance moved by solvent.
