Q

What is cohens d

A

The magnitude of difference between 2 conditions. Which provides an indication of the deviation between the means in standard deviations.

Q

What is partial eta squared

A

A global magnitude of the difference between groups or conditions. Provides a measure of how much of the variance is accounted for by the treatment effect.

Q

How to conduct a repeated measures anova in spss

A
  1. Analyse- general linear model - repeated measures.
  2. Name the factors
    i.e. Factor 1 has 2 levels, factor 2 has 2 levels
Factor 1= drink (the first number)
factor 2 = drug (the second number)
    1,1 - alcohol, placebo
    1,2- alcohol, coke
    2,1- water, placebo
    2,2 water, coke
