  • What is the purpose of SORTS?
A

The purpose of SORTS is threefold as follows:

  1. It provides data critical to crisis planning.
  2. It provides data for the contingency and peacetime planning process.
  3. It is to be used by the CSAF and subordinate commanders in assessing their effectiveness in meeting their responsibilities.
