The prosecution must give an opening address to a jury on the prosecutions case, before any evidence is given.

Both parties assist in the allocation of jurors, until, the final 12are impaneled. The parties may also request the trial judge to direct facts towards the jury.

Present the parties case?

The prosecution has to provide all credible evidence, even if it is not beneficial towards them. The accused does not need to give evidence.

Give a closing address?

The prosecution must give a closing address before the accused. The accused may chose to give a closing address after the prosecution.
