Obstacle identification surface (OIS)
Aerodrome obstacles are those that protrude through OIS out to a distance of 15km
OIS goes up to height of 150m
Colours for vehicles
Emergency = red or yellowish green
Yellow for service vehicles
Vehicle lighting
Low intensity flashing yellow
Trailers / obstacles with limited mobility = low intensity steady red
Medium intensity lights
Flashing red lighted
When used in conjunction with high intensity obstacle lights they shall be flashing white

Emergency response time
2 mins to any point of each runway
Not exceeding 3 mins to any other part of movement area
Satellite fire stations should be provided when response time cannot be achieved
When aircraft being refuelled while pax are on aircraft
