Macbeth becomes King and Banquo becomes suspicious as he sees that everything that the witches said comes true. He questions Macbeth and his actions if he did kill the king. He hopes that his sons do become kings.
Macbeth talks to Banquo about the feast and he hides his true feelings.
Banquo goes on a horse ride with his son Fleeance and Macbeth is worried that Banquo knows he killed Duncan. Macbeth is insecure and is jealous on Banquo’s prophecy.
Macbeth meets killers and orders them to kill Banquo and his son

Lady Macbeth notices Macbeth’s strange behaviour and tell him to forget about everything.
Macbeth becomes paranoid and stop enjoying being King he can’t sleep and his suspicion is growing
Macbeth doesn’t want Lady Macbeth to know.

Question 3

Act 3 scene 3

The murderers wait for Banquo and Fleeance and attempt to kill them however Fleeance escapes leaving Banquo who is killed.

Macbeth has a banquet and is told that Banquo is dead but Fleence escaped.
One of the guests invite Macbeth to the table however he sees Banquo’s bloody ghost. The guests are concerned for Macbeth and Lady Macbeth explains that this usually happens.
Macbeth calms down and makes a toast to Banquo but he sees Banquo’s ghost again and Lady Macbeth orders the guests to leave.
Lady Macbeth and Macbeth discuss Macduff and if he is being loyal.

Act 3 scene 5

Upon the stormy heath the witches meet the goddess of witches who is called Hetace she is furious with the witches as they did not consult her about Macbeth

Lennox and another man agree that things are strange and people of Scotland are talking about the strange events. They talk about their suspicions on Duncan’ sons and how they have fled the country
