A
  • Conventional- A-beta; 80-120Hz, <100 duration; 15m- there but comfortable
  • Acupuncture- A-delta; 2-5Hz; >200 duration; 30m- strong sensation
  • Burst- all mech; 10Hz; 2-3 bursts per sec; >30m- strong sensation
  • Modulated- all; varies; varies; >30- strong but comfortable

  • Inappropriate electrode positon
  • Epilepsy
  • Damaged/bleeding skin/dermatological conditions
  • Pacemaker
  • Undiagnosed pain
  • Malignancy
  • Allergy/infection
  • Epiphyseal regions
  • Unreliable client
  • Stimulation of autonomic trunks

  • Pain relief
