Widening of a vessel, typically an artery

What are the sign/symptoms of the brain attack?
Sudden weakness or numbness of face, arm, leg, on one side of the body, difficulty speaking
How do you screen a stroke?
FAST
What does FAST stand for?
Face, arm, speech, timing
What is the first aid for brain attacks?
Keep in recovery position on the side that is affected
Chronic inflammatory lung disease; random spasms of the lung tissue
Asthma
Respiratory rate is greater than 40, dizzy or lightheaded, spasms in hands and feet
Hyperventilation

What are some triggers of asthma?
Respiratory tract infection, temperature extremes (cold), airborne irritants
What do you do when someone has an asthma attack?
Check and support ABC’s, try to find the trigger and remove, ask about medication and inhalers
What does COPD stand for?
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
What are the types of COPD?
Chronic bronchitis, emphysema, other lung diseases

What can AEIOU stand for?
Alcohol, airway, anaphylaxis, epilepsy, electrocution, insulin, oxygen, overdose, underdose
